Each passenger is permitted to bring one free carry-on bag and one personal item onboard Southwest Baggage Policy . The personal item must fit beneath the front seat, and the carry-on bag cannot be larger than 10 x 16 x 24 inches. A maximum weight of 50 pounds and a size restriction of 62 inches (length + width + height) apply to checked luggage, which are charged for individually. Overweight and overweight luggage incur additional fees. There are exemptions and perks available for some loyalty programme participants and military personnel. For the most recent information on luggage allowances, costs, and regulations, travellers should check Southwest's official website.
